Subscription & Account

ScratchTrack offers a free tier for local music production and a Pro subscription for cloud sync and collaboration.

Creating an Account

  1. Open ScratchTrack.
  2. Click Sign In in the toolbar.
  3. Sign up with your email or use social login via Auth0.

Tip

You can skip sign-in and use ScratchTrack locally without an account. You can always sign in later — your local songs are preserved.

Subscribing to Pro

  1. Click your profile icon in the toolbar.
  2. Select the subscription option.
  3. Review the features and pricing.
  4. Complete checkout via Stripe (secure payment processing).

Managing Your Subscription

  1. Click your profile icon in the toolbar.
  2. Your profile popover shows:
    • Your name and email
    • Subscription status (Active, Past Due, or Canceled)
    • Renewal date
  3. Click Manage Subscription to open the Stripe portal where you can:
    • Update payment method
    • Cancel your subscription
    • View billing history

Subscription Statuses

Status Meaning
Active Your subscription is current and all Pro features are available
Past Due A payment failed — update your payment method to restore Pro features
Canceled Pro features remain until the end of the billing period

Canceling

When you cancel:

  • Pro features remain available until the end of your current billing period.
  • After the period ends, your cloud-synced songs remain on the server but won't sync to new devices.
  • Local songs are always available regardless of subscription status.

Your Profile

Access your profile from the toolbar:

  • View your avatar, name, and email
  • Check subscription status
  • Manage your subscription
  • Log out

Logging Out

  1. Click your profile icon.
  2. Click Log Out.

After logging out, you can still use ScratchTrack with local songs. Your cloud songs will sync again when you log back in.

Migrating from Anonymous to Signed-In

Note

If you've been using ScratchTrack without an account and then sign in, your local songs remain on your device. You can move them to the cloud via right-click > Move to Cloud, and your commit history is preserved — author IDs are updated to your account.
